MC Hotdog eats up his own words!!

Does anyone remember MC Hotdog's 韩流来袭 (Korean Wave Invasion) song where he was dissing Taiwanese pop singers and their corny love songs? Surprise, surprise. MC Hotdog's in one now. HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! MC Hotdog must have fell off his tree and lost his mind. This song is sad sack of shit. I can't even fathom why he even agreed to be featured in this song.

What's the difference between Christine Fan Wei Qi and Yuki Hsu or A-mei or Coco Lee (who he dissing in 韩流来袭)? They all sound the same to me. They just sing love songs and maybe they like to make cute little poses once in a while. Don't tell me that Christine Fan Wei Qi's music is "realer" than Yuki Hsu or A-mei. Aww, give me a break!! Don't tell me that this song 1到10=我和你 (1 to 10=Me And You) has depth to it. It has NONE. There's no feel to it, no soul and no depth it AT ALL. It just sounds like it was meant for little kids or for Sesame Street. Anyways, I'm very disappointed in MC Hotdog for being in this shitty song and contradicting his message of bringing "real music" to Taiwan.

Here's further proof of how dumb this song is. Here's a clip of the singer, Christine Fan Wei Qi wearing a funky skirt and performing 1到10=我和你 for the oompa loompas behind her. LOL at the oopma loompa bouncing up and down in the far right.

MC Hotdog - 我愛 Yes Girl (I Love Yes Girl) feat Ma Nian Xian

MC Hotdog - 我愛 Yes Girl

我愛 Yes Girl (I Love Yes Girl) is MC Hotdog's latest single featuring Ma Nian Xian from the indie rock band Sticky Rice. The song 我愛 Yes Girl is about Premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), which is like PMS, only worse. PMDD is PMS symptoms multiplied by 100x.

I personally find this song is very, very strange. The girl in music video is really cute, but I wouldn't like to associate her with crazy hormonal mood swings (although Lord knows they are inevitable sometimes) accompanied by cramping between the legs. This song gets a big fat "WTF?!" from me.

MC Hotdog - 請拍手 (Please Clap)

MC Hotdog - Mr Almost

Here's a music video for MC Hotdog's 請拍手, which means "Please Clap" when translated in English. 請拍手 is an uplifting song for people going through difficult times. The song was produced by Soft Lipa, who is well-known for producing jazzy hip hop instrumentals. 請拍手 is the 3rd single from MC Hotdog's Mr. Almost Album.

MC Hotdog - 韩流来袭 (Korean Wave Invasion)

MC Hotdog

韩流来袭, or the Korean Wave Invasion is the first major single from Taiwanese rapper MC Hotdog. In this song, MC Hotdog ridicules the music from the Taiwanese music industry because of how it glamorizes Korean pop idols and love songs. There's a lot of profanity and vulgar language used in this song especially in the chorus where he specifically calls out Korean pop bands Clon and H.O.T. and female singers Yuki, Ah Mei, and Coco Lee. The instrumental of this song uses a very popularized "chinky theme". I don't know exactly what the name of it is, but I'm sure you all heard it before. The Korean Wave Invasion can be found in MC Hotdog's debut EP album Dog released in 2001.

MC Hotdog - Mr. Almost

MC Hotdog - Mr Almost

Taiwanese rapper, MC Hotdog has released his 5th album on October 2008. His new album called 差不多先生 (pronounced: Cha Bu Duo Xiang Sheng), translated in English as Mr. Almost. This album was one of the most anticipated Chinese hip hop albums in Taiwan and also China.

Track Listing

01. 我瘋了 (I’m Crazy)
02. 差不多先生 (Mr. Almost)
03. 我哈你 (My Honey)
04. 海洋 (Ocean)
05. 謝謝啞虎 (Thanks Yahoo)
06. 瞎王之王 (Blind King Of Kings)
07. 毒 (Poison)
08. 請拍手 (Please Clap)
09. 怎麼能夠 (How Can)
10. 他們覺得 (They Feel That)

Mr. Almost, is the title track is MC Hotdog's album. In this song, MC Hotdog uses the phrase 差不多 in almost every line. The term "差不多" (pronounced: cha bu duo) can be translated to English as "good enough". This line of thinking has plagued the Chinese people where they would compromise their effort or quality in whatever they do just because it is "good enough". The name 差不多先生 or "Mr. Almost" was first used by a 20th century Chinese philosopher name of Hu Shi who wrote a story to discourage the Chinese about this line of thinking. MC Hotdog's song Mr. Almost is a tribute to Hu Shi's work, and MC Hotdog addresses the very same issue and mentality that is still affecting the Chinese people today. Mr. Almost is satirical song about a life that revolves around the "good enough" mentality and therefore cuts corners in almost anything and everything just to get things over with to the point where it becomes ridiculous. There is also a funny line where MC Hotdog says he had "good enough" sex many times using a "good enough" position.

MC Hotdog - Wo Ai Tai Mei

MC Hotdog - WAKE UP

我愛台妹, (pronounced: Wo Ai Tai Mei), is Manadrin for "I love Taiwanese Chicks. This song is by the Taiwanese rapper, MC Hotdog and his adoration for girls from Taiwan.

MC Hotdog first started out his rap career in the year 2000, being a social critic and making satirical songs about Taiwanese pop culture about how it is over-run by Korean media and Taiwanese "plastic artists".

Contrary to what people are saying on the internet, or what the English wikipedia entry on MC Hotdog says, the sample of the song is NOT from the Spinner's Ill Be Around. It does sound like it, but the actual sample is from Glenn Frey's The One You Love.

Here's the actual song:
