My sister sent me this link a couple of days ago. She's starring in Joe Flizzow's new music video Do it Duit. The music video was sponsored by the Johor Tourism Ministry and was shot in Pulau Rawa and the Johor Golf Club. The guys from Kartel Records and as well as Sheikh Heikel, a Singaporean MC, made a cameo appearance. Check it out!
Check out this new music video by called Welcome to the Good Life by Taiwanese hip hop group called Homies featuring Jin, Joe Flizzow and Gabby. Welcome to the Good Life was produced by Terry Tye Lee. I gotta say, this is nice slow-tempo song for the clubs. I like music that celebrates the finer side of life. Its refeshing to hear Jin coming out with an English verse although I don't know if he ever did any club songs before. Malaysian rapper Joe Flizzow comes in the smoothest in this one. The two Chinese rappers need to slow down on the beat though. Both of them made a good effort but there's no swagger in their raps. Their rapping sounds a bit too harsh for me to be in club music. Oh and if you guys missed it, there's a Chinese Tupac in the music video. Tupac isn't dead. He's in Taiwan!
Here is Malaysia's Joe Flizzow performing All Around My World with Terry Tye Lee live at the 8TV Shout! Awards. Joe Flizzow was bringin that HEAT!!! I gotta ask though, who choreographed that AWFUL dance for the dancers in the background?? Their dance routine looked so.....awkward. *SMH*
In the second half of the video Sean Kingston comes on stage and presents an award... not really sure for what award though. Then Sean Kingston reveals that Joe Flizzow is the winner of the award and then Joe Flizzow comes back on stage to accept it. In his acceptance speech Joe Flizzow said there will be a new Too Phat album coming up. SWEEEEET!!
All Around My World is a song by Malaysia's Joe Flizzow featuring Terry Tye Lee. Its a song about flying ladies all around Asia. This track is from Joe Flizzow's debut solo-effort album President. The album cover of President kinda reminds me of former US President Richard Nixon's "I am not a crook" pose.
As reported in Joe Flizzow's blog, Joe had a recent interview in a talk show called Latte@8. In this interview Joe Flizzow talks about how he got into rapping and talks about career with Malaysian rap group, Too Phat. Joe Flizzow also talks about his new record label, Kartel Records and what is in store from his new solo album, The President. The new album will have 15 songs. 10 of the songs will be in English and 5 songs will be in Malay. Bronx rap legend, KRS-One will be featured in the album and also another unnamed Japanese rapper will be featured in The President. The interview ends with a live performance of Joe Flizzow performing Do it Duit.
Just a Friend is a song by the Malaysian hip hop group Too Phat from their Plan B album. The song and instrumental is a tribute to Biz Markie's original 1989 hit with the same name. In this song, Malique tells his story about a girl named "Jenny" that has he known since pre-school. Although it appears that Malique and Jenny are building their future together the song foreshadows another man in Jenny's life. Jenny denies this and reassures Malique that person she was with is "just a friend". Later as the story develops, Malique decides to give Jenny a suprise visit in her college dormitory. And to his surprise he discovers "a fella half naked with my gurl on the couch/ and baby Jenny moaning, uggg uggh aggh and ouch/". Joe Flizzow's rap verse talks about a girl named "Wanda" that he wanted to pursue. When he finally gets with Wanda, he soon discovers that Wanda likes to kiss other girls and that "she's just a friend".
One cool factoid about this song is that Too Phat's version of Just a Friend was released during the same time period as Mario's Just a Friend.

Just a lil bit, is from Too Phat's 360° album released in 2003. In in this song, Too Phat and Warren G rap about how hip hop can bring two cultures together. This video was shot in Long Beach, California and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and features the four elements of hip hop, emceeing, break dancing, graffiti, and DJing. The chorus from this song is a spin-off from Warren G's This DJ from the Regulate...G Funk Era album.
