D-Pryde - Forever (Youtube Remix) MV feat. Traphik, Dumbfoundead, Dyme-A-Duzin, Prince EA, & Ahmir

D-Pryde - Forever (YouTube Remix)

D-Pryde, a 16 year old Spanish/Filipino rapper reppin Brampton, Ontario has just released the music video of his Youtube Remix of Drake's Forever featuring fellow YouTube stars: Traphik, Dyme-A-Duzin, Dumbfoundead, Prince EA, and Ahmir. The song was released a while back in December 2009. Traphik and D-Pryde both killed it! Hey what do you know?! I spotted fellow Pinoy rapper Mike Swift making a cameo appearance in D-Pryde's scene.

Dumbfoundead gets in a fight during his freestyle battle!!

This is why you don't mess with Asians, cuz we all know martial arts. In this scenario though I think Dumbfoundead was the culprit here being in his opponent's face and all. Nice flying spinning kick, Dumb. Tatsumaki-Senpu kyaku!!!

If you haven't watched the battle between Dumbfoundead and Tantrum, watch it here.

Freestyle Battle - Dumbfoundead vs Kid Twist

Dumbfoundead makes his debut in King of the Dot and takes on Kid Twist. This freestyle battle is full of jokes and punch-lines. The crowd was reacted to almost every line from both rappers and that was a really annoying. Dumbfoundead called Kid Twist the guy from Twilight, lol. But that wasn't enough because Kid Twist had came really prepared and won the crowd. Kid Twist wins this freestyle battle.

Here's a clip of Dumbfoundead doing a live performance of She Don't Care to Vince Gyre's acoustic guitar at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Fransisco. Don't they kinda remind you of buskers when they are performing under that bright yellow light? =))

Dumbfoundead - Rapper-O's MV

Dumbfoundead - Fun With Dumb

Dumbfoundead introduces a new cereal called Rapper-O's. This song has a really cheesy Leave It To Beaver feel to it. Haha you gotta love the intro of the song: "Rapper-O's? What the fuck is that?!" Rapper-O's is produced by Kato and is from Dumbfoundead's album Fun With Dumb.

Dumbfoundead interviews Tablo from Epik High

After completing his Map The Soul tour in the United States, Tablo from Epik High did an interview with Dumbfoundead on behalf of The Urban Decadance right in Dumbfoundead's crib. It's a real short interview and the duration is about 6 and a half minutes. Its really interesting to see both Tablo and Dumbfoundead mesh together in this interview because on one hand, they are both Koreans who share the love of hip hop, but on the other hand they are shaped by two completely different cultures and different music scenes. When asked about the Korean music industry, Tablo said that that there isn't much diversity of music genres and everything is basically pop music. To top that off, Tablo was saying that because the way the Korean media is structured, it leaves no room for underground rap artists to get any media attention. Tablo also said that he was working on some tracks in Dumbfoundead's crib (collaboration track, hint hint).

You can read the article about Tablo's interview on The Urban Decadence blog here.

Freestyle Battle - Dumbfoundead vs F.L.O.

Freestyle Battle - Dumbfoundead Vs The Saurus

Here's one of the main events on Grind Time's The Battle of the Bay: Dumbfoundead VS The Saurus, who is a 2-time Rap World Champion. This freestyle battle was held in Oakland, California on February 28, 2009. Dumbfoundead's strategy was to poke fun of The Saurus' face and complexion. The Saurus used a lot of Asian jokes, but I thought they were funny as hell. It was a great battle and in the end The Saurus was declared the winner.

The second video is an "honorary overtime" freestyle battle where Dumbfoundead and The Saurus were battling for the fun of it after the match decision.

Freestyle Battle - Tantrum VS Dumbfoundead

Someone on the Asian Rap Chat posted a really cool Grind Time freestyle battle between two Korean American rappers: Tantrum vs Dumbfoundead. Tantrum is from Union City, California and Dumbfoundead is from the Koreatown/Los Angeles area. The two emcees have very different rapping styles. Tantrum raps very aggressively and Dumbfoundead raps like a witty nerd from another planet (but it definitely delivers). In the battle you'll hear very funny Asian-related references. Both emcees did very well but at the end of the battle, Dumbfoundead was declared the winner by the judges. A definitely must-see battle!
